Milgrams 27, Aug 28th 9pm

by admin on Aug.01, 2009, under Live Music

theater-pictures-190Milgrams 27 will be back again to bring you covers and originals. Formed at the end of 2006 (in recent form) Milgram’s 27 (M27 fer short) brings together a mixture of influences from rock, reggae, jazz, pop, and soul. Covers range from the 50’s to the present and include Bob Marley, Coldplay, Ben Harper, Marvin Gaye, Violent Femmes, Van Morrison, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Costello, Hank Sr., maybe even some Bon Jovi (We can all just really relate to that Jon Bon Jovi and the lyrical and songwriting genius that he has become! though, I think Rob just likes his chest hair:-), etc. Songwriting style is just a combination of all these influences with a tendency for silly social commentary and serious… well there’s nothing really serious.
