A VACANT SOUL: Following the release of their self titled EP in 2007, A Vacant Soul has managed to build a strong underground fan base and generate a buzz in the southeast territory. Gathering influences from groups such as Nine Inch Nails, the band went into their privately owned Revolver Studio in 2008 to self-record, engineer, and mix what would become their first full length. In June 2009, AVS released the highly anticipated album “We Are The Ones” to great reviews. Concentrating on songwriting and well-balanced production, the new album incorporates dark soundscapes and catchy vocal melodies mixed with the bands signature loops, samples, and synthesizers. With an extensive touring schedule and promotion, the band has managed to sell close to 2,000 units of there first two releases. AVS is known best for their highly energetic and visually inspiring live show that’s never short of a surprise. In 2009 the band plans to tour in support of the new release and continue to reach out to new fans. AVS has had the honor of sharing the stage with such bands as Shinedown, Flyleaf, Dope, Julien K, Peter Murphy, The Exies, Kittie, Hollywood Undead, Smile Empty Soul, Combichrist, The 69 Eyes, Deadstar Assembly, Team Cybergeist, Dommin, The Becoming, Dismantled, Autovein, Eve to Adam, and many others. AVS has also been featured on several compilation albums that involve members, or former members of Marilyn Manson, Dope, Adema, KMFDM, Genitorturers, Pigface, and many more.
