Jan 15th 9pm $5 Ghost Eagle, high energy, Appalachian rooted trio

Posted on Jan.29, 2015

Ghost EagleGhost Eagle is a high energy, Appalachian rooted trio consisting of drums, telecaster and amplified harmonica. Ghost Eagle brings a huge show in a tiny package. Front man Spencer Mckenna has been at the helm of several east coast touring bands (GrassMonkey and Welcome to Hoonah) and brings his authentic southern character to full light in this stripped down incarnation. Playing without a bassist has allowed the opportunity for the role of soloist to be shared with amplified harmonica player, Robby Carden. Robby has preformed multiple times with such acts as Dangermuffin, Yarn, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, the Peoples Blues of Richmond, Larry and his Flask and has carved a formidable reputation as one of Virginia’s premier harmonica players and guest musicians. Ghost Eagle has opened for acts such as Paleface,Dangermuffin, Cornmeal, Bright Light Social Hour as well and been featured at several regional showcases and music festivals like the Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, Camp Barefoot, Front Porch Fest, Pink Moon, and Floyd Fest. After several tours throughout the the Midatlantic, Florida, Tennessee, and West Va, Ghost Eagle is looking to expand our fan base in support of the newest EP.
