This is a full night with 3 bands for all of you who have supported live music. These guys were here back in 2010 and will be back again on Jan 28th. A Word from the band. We are a no-frills quartet. We are what you hear — the music, with many influences. The lyrics are thoughtful and sometimes quirky. From the touch of bluegrass in ABDUCTED to the grunge of DON’T BE QUIET to the beauty of JIMI. We’ve never been overly worried if you liked the music or not because if we didn’t like it, how could we put it out there? We enjoy performing live with energy, humor, theater and activism. Back in the dead heat of the summer, L Shape Lot feature on HBO Series East Bound & Down, stopped into visit Gaffney. Mixing a healthy amount of musical chops, honest, and creative songwriting, powerful stage presence and well sung four-part harmonies, L Shape Lot creates an original and dynamic American sound based in country, rock, bluegrass and roots/folk music. Their lively sound explores new ground, while still paying homage to their predecessors. L Shape Lot is from Wilmington, NC and consists of four members: Eric Miller (Acoustic guitar, vocals), Alex Lanier (electric, acoustic guitar, vocals) Rick Williams ( 6 string electric bass, upright bass, vocals) and John Kovalski (drums, vocals).

Their high-energy live shows have become a hot ticket at both night clubs and music festivals of all types. This group of veteran musicians has been perfecting their sound for over 8 years.  In 2009, the band completed their second full-length studio release, Looks Like Snow, and earned excellent press and numerous honors including Encore Magazine’s Best Band and The Beat Magazine’s Best Country Band. They have become the go-to roots band in the area for touring national acts, sharing the stage with the Avett Brothers, Peter Frampton, Drew Emmit from Leftover Salmon, Larry Keel and Natural Bridge, Chatham County Line, and most recently Railroad Earth. 2010 finds LSL moving beyond the confines of their coastal stomping grounds to serve up their unique brand of “on your feet” Americana throughout the Southeastern US. Jeff’s shows were already a big success in Charlotte and Greenville, now he’s found a mid point here for the 2 cities and gaining even more fans in Gaffney South Carolina.   The limos you may have seen out front are his fans from both Charlotte and Greenville.  If you have not seen a show like this in the bigger cities, it’s hard to described the passion and effort put into this form of art.  This session of poetry usually has an instrumental band performing in the background along with a painter that sells his work after the show which makes for a really cool session.  Please visit this website for info on the show. www.wyldamerica.com

If you have ever been to the Moonshiners Reunion, no need to read this post, you know what a awesome show it will be.  For those who have been deprived, well here’s your chance to see these guys live here on Nov. 25th. ministry that works in partnership with all people in need to build decent, affordable housing.  Serving Gaffney, Blacksburg, and the surrounding
areas, HFH depends on the support of individuals, businesses, and churches
in the community – from advocacy and donations to volunteerism and
education.  You can make a difference!  We present to church groups and
civic organizations to grow awareness in our area of the dire need for
quality, safe, affordable housing – we’d love to speak at your next event.

Southern Experience is a new band dawning on the Carolina music scene. Drawing from a variety of musical experiences and influences this group is poised to make its mark. The band is producing very fresh and energetic original material with thoughtful and meaningful lyrics. The group’s original offerings as well as fresh takes on 70’s standards display flashes of everything from blues to progressive rock. The glue that holds it together is their common appreciation and love of classic southern rock. The boundless energy of lead guitarist and vocalist J.T. Fitch; the keyboards, guitar, harmonica, and vocals of Scott Sanders and the drums and percussion work of Jon Humphries drive this band. Veteran 70’s/80’s bassist Ron Humphries rounds out the lineup with solid melodic bass lines and years of experience. Southern Experience just completed a soon to be released EP appropriately titled Beginnings.
