Single-screen movie theatres are difficult at best to find today. Over the past ten years, the Capri Theatre has been hosting music shows and other live events for the community allowing the stage to be used. The Capri Theatre closed for renovations to become and join other live venues in the upstate. The Capri Theatre will reopen in 2009 as Capri on Main with the first phase of the plan completed. Capri on Main will be hosting live music events, movie documentaries, trivia nights, private events, and serving as an alternate location for city functions.
